"Angel" Australian Champion Von Haus Petula Angel (Import Denmark)
24th August 1999 - 27th October 2009 Angel was the foundation female that all our kennels success has stemmed from. She was imported from Denmark and we will always be grateful to René Sorenson for trusting us with this special girl. Angel produced our first BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW WINNER, Ch Towilla Muhammad Ali. She was also the dam of 8 Towilla Champions and the Grand Dam of even more. Angel was always a dog with great joy for life. She rarely was still and never stopped wagging her body. She had the sweetest brown eyes, which she always passed onto her progeny, as well as her loving nature and high energy. She is greatly missed and will always be in our hearts. RIP sweet girl.

"Lucy" Towilla Flaunt It Baby
1st September 2007 - 7th September 2009 Lucy was a beautiful girl who never stopped wagging her tail. She was taken from us by a horrid tick, of which we have many in our area. She was much loved by Max Branch and his family and is greatly missed Rest In peace Lucy.
"Mojo" Roll Of Honour, Multi Best In Specialty Show Australian Grand Champion Zican's Impressive Mr Doc (Imp Swd)
24th June 2000 - 26th May 2008 Unfortunately Mojo passed away only one month before his 8th birthday. It was a sudden and unexplained death, he was healthy and happy up to the day he died. We will always treasure the years we had with Mojo. He had a huge impact on the breed in Australia, being a very popular stud dog who produced some wonderful offspring. He leaves behind a strong legacy and many fans who miss him greatly.
Mojo was imported from Zican Kennel in Sweden. He was an awesome dog that impressed everyone he met. He was of outstanding temperament, and always a true gentleman at the dog shows. He had a strong head & amazing physique. He was stocky & well muscled, but with minimal training, this boy had it all just as nature intended. Mojo is still the most highly awarded Amstaff ever in Australia.

"Berko" Australian Champion Yanegua All Tanked Up (AI)
Berko was taken from our family well before his time. He was the most amazing dog I have ever owned, and I don't think I will ever stop missing him. I am doing this memorial as a dedication to his time with us, and to try and heal my own heartache over his loss. Berko was truly a once in a lifetime dog and it will be hard for any other dog to live up to the memory of this special boy. He was our first male Amstaff and this boy twisted his way so deeply into my heart, that years after his loss I still miss him greatly.
The picture below was taken at Berko's first show when he was only 3 months old. It was a big show in Sydney and it had rained the whole night before. The judge had his gum boots on as the ground was very muddy. There were 5 baby puppy Amstaffs entered that day. When the judge kneeled down to go over Berko, he launched himself at the judge, put one big wet paw on each shoulder and gave him a big sloppy kiss, wagging his tail a million miles an hour. The judge laughed and said now that is the correct temperament for an amstaff. I was mortified at Berko's naughty behaviour and apologised profusely to the judge. Obviously he didn't mind too much, he went on to award Berko "Best Baby Puppy In Group" that day. Berko did eventually grow up, and stopped jumping up to kiss the judges. He still had a knack of winning over even the most anti-dog people. He was a very big dog full grown, well over the standard size for an Amstaff, but he had a very gentle nature about him, especially with children. Berko was not aggressive with other dogs either. Berko was a wonderful representative for the breed, and always drew a crowd when at a show or out for a walk.
One of the funniest memories I have of Berko is the day one of our hens tried to steal his dinner. Berko had a bowl of chicken necks, but that didn't stop the hen, she just wanted what he had. Anyway, Berko had wandered away from his bowl and the hen saw her opportunity. She picked up a chicken neck and started running. Berko spotted her, and immediately took off in chase. I was in the kitchen watching this unfold through the window, it happened so quickly I never even had a chance to call out. Anyway, Berko caught up to the hen in only a few steps. I expected him to grab a mouthful of feathers and I would have one dead hen, but to my surprise, at full speed, he dropped his shoulder and rammed the hen with his left side. This poor hen went flying and squawking through the air, Berko quickly grabbed the chicken neck the hen had dropped, turned round and walked back to his bowl. That hen never tried to steal his food again.
Berko was wonderful with all the hens, one of his jobs was to sleep with the hens when they had baby chicks just hatched. We have a lot of foxes around this area, and the young chicks and mums are especially vulnerable to be taken. Berko would sleep with them, and chase off any foxes that showed up. The only problem with this arrangement was that Berko was particularly fond of fresh eggs, and he would help himself to the fresh eggs every morning. I guess he thought he had earned the right !!
Berko was not shown extensively, though he gained his championship title with ease. He was also a certified Canine Good Citizen. The CGC course was great fun for Berko and I and I recommend all owners to take their dog to the course if it is available in their area. Berko passed this training easily. Part of the assessment was how the dogs behaved with other dogs. Berko was never aggressive with other dogs, so passed this part no problems. A few months later we had a call from the instructor. The next CGC class was having their graduation exams, and they needed a stranger dog for the for the examination. She asked if I could come over with Berko, of course I said yes. Well you should have seen the look on the faces of the other dogs owners when I showed up with Berko. They were very nervous to have their dogs approach Berko for the exam. Berko behaved perfectly as I expected and we converted another 10 or so people into Amstaff fans.
Berko went missing from our farm in February 2002. We never found out what happened to him. We advertised extensively but no information was ever forth coming. That has been one of the hardest parts of losing this boy, never knowing what really happened. I love all my dogs, but this boy was special. A gentle giant, a once in a lifetime dog.
We miss you and love you Berko
"Tia" 9th October 1995 - 27th January 2001 Tia was our first dog and will always be remembered as the clown she was. Her favourite past time was helping with the gardening. She would bark and demand you throw her a weed, which she would proceed to tear to shreds, there was no way any of those weeds were going to grow again. Tia loved all people and was certainly never much of a guard dog. She excelled at obedience work and was alway happy to put on a demonstration for visitors. She was a great ambassador for all bull breeds and helped out many children who had a fear of dogs. She is greatly missed and will always be in our hearts. We love you Tia.
